Description

Trading journal software built on WordPress — own your data instead of renting a trading journal app.

TradeJournal Edge is trading journal software built on WordPress that turns your own website into a structured trading journal. Instead of keeping notes in scattered spreadsheets, screenshots in folders, and execution history in separate exports, TradeJournal Edge gives you a dedicated place to store, filter, review, and study your trades.

It is built for traders who want a private journal they control, with enough structure to review performance by setup, instrument, account, side, date range, and result.

Important:

TradeJournal Edge is installed on WordPress, not inside NinjaTrader. It can import NinjaTrader CSV exports, but it is not a NinjaTrader 8 indicator, NinjaScript add-on, chart tool, or order-entry tool.

What TradeJournal Edge Does

  • Creates a dedicated Trades area inside WordPress
  • Stores each trade as a structured journal entry
  • Supports setup tagging so trades can be grouped by strategy or pattern
  • Tracks instrument, instrument root, account, side, PnL, trade date, notes, screenshots, and executions
  • Groups multiple executions under one logical trade
  • Lets you attach one or more screenshots using the WordPress media library
  • Provides a frontend journal dashboard with filters, stats, and a trade table
  • Imports NinjaTrader CSV exports with column mapping
  • Supports trade package export/import for moving journals between WordPress sites

Built for WordPress, Not NinjaTrader

TradeJournal Edge is for traders who want to review their trades on a WordPress site.

It does not add anything to your NinjaTrader chart. It does not place orders, manage risk, create signals, or modify Chart Trader.

Use TradeJournal Edge when you want to import or manually enter trades into WordPress and review them from a clean journal dashboard.

If you are looking for NinjaTrader 8 chart tools, indicators, or execution add-ons, choose one of the NinjaTrader products from Price Action Tools instead.

Import NinjaTrader CSV Exports

TradeJournal Edge includes an admin import flow for NinjaTrader CSV exports.

The import process is simple:

  1. Upload your CSV file.
  2. Review or adjust the field mapping.
  3. Import the trades into WordPress.

The importer can recognize common NinjaTrader-style columns such as:

  • Instrument
  • Market position
  • Entry time
  • Entry price
  • Exit price
  • Quantity
  • Commission

Rows can be grouped into one logical trade when they belong to the same entry, which helps keep partial exits, runners, and multiple fills organized under a single journal entry.

Screenshots and Trade Notes

Screenshots are stored using the normal WordPress media library, so you do not need a separate file system or external storage workflow.

Each trade can include:

  • Detailed notes
  • One or more screenshots
  • Setup tags
  • Account assignment
  • Structured execution rows
  • PnL and date/time details

This makes TradeJournal Edge useful for both quick trade logging and deeper review sessions.

Move Journals Between WordPress Sites

TradeJournal Edge includes plugin-owned trade package tools for exporting and importing journal data between WordPress sites.

Trade packages can include:

  • Trade title and notes
  • Accounts
  • Contracts and instrument roots
  • Side and PnL
  • Trade date
  • Executions
  • Setup names
  • Screenshot metadata

Duplicate imports are skipped where possible to help avoid accidental double-importing.

Who This Is For

  • Traders who want a private journal on their own WordPress site
  • NinjaTrader users who want to import CSV trade history into WordPress
  • Traders who review performance by setup, side, date range, account, and instrument
  • Traders who want screenshots and notes connected to each trade
  • Traders who prefer owning their data instead of relying only on broker reports or spreadsheets

Who This Is Not For

TradeJournal Edge is not for traders looking for:

  • A NinjaTrader 8 indicator
  • A NinjaScript add-on
  • Chart Trader buttons
  • Automated entries or exits
  • Trade signals
  • Account-level risk controls inside NinjaTrader

For NinjaTrader 8 platform tools, see the NinjaTrader products from Price Action Tools.

Requirements

  • WordPress website
  • Ability to install WordPress plugins
  • Active TradeJournal Edge license
  • Modern browser for the frontend dashboard
  • NinjaTrader CSV export only if you want to use the import workflow

NinjaTrader is not required for manual trade entry. It is only needed if you want to export trades from NinjaTrader and import them into TradeJournal Edge.

Clear, Structured Trade Review

TradeJournal Edge is designed to support disciplined review, not prediction or signal generation.

It gives you a structured way to see what you traded, how each setup performed, where screenshots and notes belong, and which filters reveal patterns in your execution.

If you already use WordPress and want a self-owned trading journal that can work with NinjaTrader exports, TradeJournal Edge gives you the foundation.
